According to The Vision Council, prolonged exposure to artificial blue light can have a harmful impact on your retina, the part of the eye that keeps objects in focus, and can contribute to long-term issues such as cataracts and age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

Artificial blue light, also known as high-energy visible (HEV) light, is a type of light with short wavelengths emitting a higher energy and penetrating deep into the eye.
Aside from sunlight, digital screens – like those of TVs, computers/laptops, smart phones and tablets – are the most common source of harmful HEV exposure. With the rise of digital technology (according to the Vision Council, more than 87 percent of Americans report using digital devices for more than two hours per day), more and more Americans report experiencing symptoms of digital eye strain, including blurriness, headaches, eye fatigue, eye strain and neck pain.

HyperX Gaming Eyewear is for gamers that want to look good, protect their eyes from HEV exposure, and improve their gaming experience and performance.
HyperX Gaming Eyewear lenses feature next-gen blue light-filtering technology that can reduce the negative effects of prolonged HEV exposure (such as physical eye discomfort, blurriness and headaches) -- helping your vision stay sharp.

The lenses are made of MR-8™, which minimizes the color distorting ‘prism effect’ found in lower index lenses such as polycarbonate, glass and CR-39. Unlike other gaming eyewear models with amber or yellow lenses, HyperX utilizes a clear lens that provides a vivid color gaming experience, giving you the ability to view colors as they truly are.
HyperX Gaming Eyewear blends the best of style and performance. Individually cut from multi-layered designer-quality acetate and hand-crafted into a stylish and classic shape, the frame is more durable, holds brilliant color longer and polishes to a finer gloss than a traditional polycarbonate frame. Spring hinges provide increased range of movement and flexibility, and the ability to withstand everyday use. Lightweight and with ultra-thin temples, the frames are designed to pair comfortably with HyperX headsets.

While traditional gaming glasses use amber or yellow lenses, HyperX Gaming Eyewear lenses are clear to maintain true color integrity. Behind next-gen lens technology and premium clear anti-reflective hydrophobic coating, digital eye strain is reduced and performance is maximized.
Yes, HyperX Gaming Eyewear utilizes next-gen lens technology and premium anti-reflective coating to filter harmful blue light and eliminate reflections in the front and back of the lenses.
HyperX Gaming Eyewear lenses are not polarized. One of the primary benefits of wearing polarized lenses is cutting down on glare, however most modern screens utilize the same glare-reducing technology as polarized lenses. As a result, wearing polarized lenses while looking at a modern screen can cause portions of your screen to become black or go dark.
Yes, they provide complete UVA/B 400 protection.
HyperX Gaming Eyewear is not intended for outdoor or nighttime use.
The HyperX Gaming Eyewear frame is a unisex model and designed to fit all types of face shapes. Each pair contains spring hinges that provide a customizable fit for ultimate comfort in prolonged gaming sessions. To view the exact specifications, please visit
To ensure long-lasting use and help protect your HyperX Gaming Eyewear from damage:

(1) always clean the lenses with a soft cloth and quality lens cleaner (do not use tissue, paper towels or other abrasive materials;

(2) always store your glasses in the protective case, in a cool shaded area when you are not wearing them;

(3) avoid laying the lenses face down; and

(4) do not attempt to disassemble, repair, modify or adjust your glasses by yourself (take to an eyewear specialist).

Avoid using alcohol to clean the lenses as alcohol can damage the coating on the lenses and reduce effectiveness. Extended exposure to excessive heat can also damage the coating on the lenses.
